Architectural Review Board MemberLetter of Interest (required) to the Supervisor’s Office
Functions Architectural Review Board (ARB) approval is required for exterior architectural features of proposed construction, additions, alterations, or remodeling of buildings and structures in a B-1, B-2, I-1, I-2, I-3, PBN, PCP, PRDP, PRD and CRD zone, as well as any building in a cluster subdivision which contains two or more dwelling units, including attached and semi-detached units, and any buildings and/or structures approved as part of a special permit in any zone, except a special permit to expand a non-conforming residence under section 67-71. An architectural background is a plus.


Conservation Advisory Council Member – Letter of Interest (required) to the Supervisor’s Office

Advise the Town Board on matters affecting the preservation, quality and use of the natural resources and environment of the Town of East Fishkill.  Develop and conduct, with the Town Board’s approval, a program of public information designed to foster in the community an understanding of environmental problems and issues and support for their resolutions.  Conduct studies, surveys and inventories of the natural and man-made features within the Town of East Fishkill and such other studies as may be necessary to ensure the wise use of natural resources and to enhance and protect the environment.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory or index of all open land and wetland areas in public or private ownership within the town so as to provide a base of information for recommendations as to their preservation and/or use.
Seek to coordinate and maintain liaison with public agencies and private groups whose programs and activities have an impact on the quality of the environment or who can provide needed assistance. Work in close cooperation wherever possible with the Town Planning Board and Town Recreation Commission. Carry out such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Town Board.

Seasonal Laborers –  Application required 

The East Fishkill Highway Department is seeking SEASONAL laborers for Parks and Recreation.

The work involves responsibility for the performance of general laboring or construction tasks, which requires physical endurance and a willingness to perform arduous tasks at times in inclement weather. The incumbent generally uses hand and power tools to perform the work but may occasionally operate automotive equipment under close supervision of a qualified operator. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a working supervisor or a similar title.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

Performs a variety of manual labor tasks; loads and unloads trucks; cuts grass, weed trimming, trims shrubs and trees, rakes leaves, cuts brush; maintains playing fields; maintaining parks, including trash and litter removal, cleaning of restrooms, mulching; assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of sidewalks or other projects by shoveling, laying forms and pouring cement; assists in soil and rock excavation; assists with tree planting; may assist in painting facilities; may assist in the maintenance and repair of buildings; may operate motor equipment in the performance of duties, including but not limited to town vehicles, mowers, weed trimmers, groomers, etc.

NOTE: A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment. Some weekends and holidays are required. Minimum age of 18 years required to operate necessary town equipment and vehicles.

SALARY: Entry rate is $17.00.


Summer Internship Program –2025 Internship Application – Send to Gina Grippo at grippog@eastfishkillny.gov 

The Internship is open to graduating seniors. First preference will be given to candidates who are East Fishkill residents. Once filled, outside town resident applications will be sent to the towns they live in for possible internship interest. The start date will be July 1, 2025. The internship entails working in a government office, with some interaction with the public. The intern will be working in various departments using Laserfiche to scan documents, filing, etc. There are departments that work out in the field.

There will also be an Internship for graduating seniors 18+ to work with Buildings and Grounds, The job entails working with the Buildings and Grounds Crew under the Highway Department. the intern will be mowing, building maintenance and sports field maintenance.
